Harvard Printing
Harvard Printing, a transit-oriented development a short walk from New Jersey Transit’s Highland Avenue train station, consists of a four-story 228-unit mixed-income rental complex. Previously an obsolete brownfield city, the site has been transformed into a mixed-income rental complex and community asset, serving as a catalyst for future revitalization in the City of Orange’s Central Valley Redevelopment Plan area and Valley Arts District.
The complex offers 128 high-quality apartments, 70 of which are affordable units, along with a vibrant pedestrian greenway. Additionally, the project repurposed a historic factory building into a 160-carparking deck and enhanced daylighting and landscaping of a subterranean stream.
The Harvard Printing Project was a joint partnership between HANDS, the Alpert Group, and Iron State Development.
